Residential Living Supervisor supervises the work of a residential living staff. Provides training to resident assistants on proper care giving techniques. Functions and Scope of Job: This position is responsible for working with the Residential Supervisor to lead the team of Direct Support Professionals and maintaining the health and safety of the residents assigned to the home.

Ability to demonstrate supervisory and administrative skills. Must have sufficient computer skills and excellent writing skills to complete documentation. Knowledge of and ability to perform simple nursing care, first-aid, behavioral management, and personal hygiene. Ability to observe, record and report participant’s behavior, attitude, and physical condition. Ability to perform basic math and communicate effectively, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively train program staff and provide on-going support to encourage professional development of all staff. No convictions for crimes that preclude a person from working with members of a vulnerable population.
Minimum Requirements: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in human services field preferred. At least two years of experience in a direct-care facility, preferably in a residential setting with individuals with an Intellectual or Developmental Disability/Mental Illness; education may be substituted for one year of experience. A recent criminal check, including a finger prints check. Valid VA driver's license with acceptable driving record. Clean Criminal records check. TB Screening. Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
