Retail & Commercial Tire Store Manager Assistant assists the store manager with the day-to-day operations of a tire store/center that markets to both retail and commercial clients. Ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. Being a Retail & Commercial Tire Store Manager Assistant manages the tire center in absence of the manager. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. Additionally, Retail & Commercial Tire Store Manager Assistant typically reports to a store manager. The Retail & Commercial Tire Store Manager Assistant supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Job Responsibilities: Perform oil changes, tire alignments, brake and shock replacement, and other mechanical services Maintain and replace tires Maintain tools and equipment Troubleshoot customer needs and inspect vehicles for additional problems Perform general housekeeping in work area Other duties as assigned Job Requirements: General diesel mechanical knowledge General passenger automotive knowledge Ability to use basic hand tools, tire tools, air wrench and other essential tools Driver’s License required Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift, push and pull up to 125 pounds Frequently bending, squatting and kneeling You wouldn’t stop at a green light, so don’t let your career become caught in a roadblock.
