Summary
This is a full-time position that is responsible for ensuring that changes within the pipelines organization are effectively managed, assessed for potential risks, implemented seamlessly and documented appropriately. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, maintenance, HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment), and regulatory compliance, to identify management of change needs and initiate the MOC process.
- Facilitate the processing of change requests, ensuring that all necessary information is provided and that proposed changes are thoroughly evaluated for potential impacts on safety, quality, cost, schedule and other relevant factors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication throughout the change management process.
- Facilitate the review and approval process for change requests, ensuring that appropriate stakeholders are involved and that changes are authorized in accordance with established change management procedures.
- Develop and deliver training programs and materials to increase awareness of change management process and foster a culture of proactive change management within the organization.
- Maintain accurate and up to date documentation of all change requests, evaluations, approvals, and implementation activities.
- Utilize and maintain electronic change management systems and databases to track the status of changes and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Administer the compliance software application to keep information in the system up to date as changes are made to the pipeline system.
- Customize software settings and workflows to align with specific compliance processes and business objectives.
- Develop and deliver training programs and materials in support of users on the compliance software platform, its functionalities and best practices.
- Monitor key performance indicators related to change management effectiveness and identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and compliance.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance software integrations with other systems are seamless and secure.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent education with at least three (3) years of experience in change management, project management, or a related field, preferably in the pipeline industry.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., 49 CFR Part 195, various API Standards)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- Ability to travel in Wyoming, Montana and North Dakota.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
