Classification: Non-Exempt

Job Summary

Greet members as they arrive/exit the restaurant while supervising the seating of the dining room. Responsible for managing the reservation system, answering in/outbound reservation phone calls, and oversight of reservation operations for all lunch/dinner shifts.

Essential Functions

Leadership

• • Promotes a positive restaurant culture.
  • Demonstrates a confident ability to lead the hosts’ team during all levels of service.

Service

• Review daily reservations and assign appropriate tables.
• Greet incoming and departing Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining area; present menus; announce waiter's name
• Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service, including setting reservations for members in any of the Club’s F&B outlets. Returns voicemails and cross-communicates reservation changes to F&B management
• Attend to the special needs and requests of all members
• Take and input to-go orders in a professional and timely matter
• Understands all menu and daily special items and is able to proficiently communicate information to all members

Safety and Sanitation

• Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol control policies
• Maintain cleanliness at the host podium and surrounding areas
• Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.

Other Functions

• Help dining room staff by setting and clearing tables; replenishing water; serving beverages
• Observant to Guests' needs throughout dining experience to ensure they receive high quality service (i.e. notice a drink refill is needed while seating another Guest and ensuring the drink is refilled prior to getting back to the door).

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 years Hosting in elevated food and beverage service setting preferred
• Relevant guest services/hospitality experience preferred

Licenses and Special Requirements

• Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Food safety certification preferred
• Alcoholic beverage certification preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
• Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Continuous repetitive motions.
• Work in hot, humid and noisy environment.
