Position Summary
Responsible for cleaning all guest rooms.
Supervision Exercised
Reports to the Housekeeping Inspector
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Change bed linen and duvet cover daily.
- Vacuum entire guest room area daily.
- Dust all furniture and surfaces daily.
- Removes smudges from all surfaces, windows and mirrors.
- Thoroughly clean the bathroom area wash tub, tiles, sink, floor, toilet, walls, doors, etc.
- Replenish housekeeping cart with all supplies for designated work area.
- Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
- Reports any guest room and maintenance defects.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to follow instructions, directions, and meet deadlines, including the thorough cleaning of a minimum number of rooms as specified by management.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience
Preferred:
- High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
- Previous housekeeping experience.
Licensing Status
- Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
- Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.
Working Conditions
- Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
- Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than six (6) hours per day.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
