Business Development Manager
Business Development serve to influence customers and stakeholders while providing insights and knowledge to our own organization, shaping strategy and inspire new concepts. The primary objective is to identify new business opportunities, looking to identify new markets, new partnerships, new ways to reach existing markets, or new product or service offerings to better meet the needs of existing markets. And then be expected to use these opportunities to bring in more revenue.
Business Development Managers (BDM) work with FAA (incl. ADO´s and liaison with the KAM for each geography), CAA´s, Carriers, Consultants and Insurance companies to ensure RWS is known as the leader in airfield safety, look for “openings for new business”, look for ways to partner-up and to ensure we are “top of mind”.
Business Development look beyond the direct client sale and nurture the development of partnerships with different aviation stakeholders or complementary service providers given a world where technology is changing the shape of our industries at a pace we’ve not seen before.
The BDM, more than anyone else, is best placed to learn and understand what customers want and need now and in the future. To gain advantage BDM needs to decipher what’s driving the customer’s purchase decision and work very close to our KAM´s. Understanding what drives customer buying decisions is critical.
When it comes to competitors, Business Development is the eyes and ears of the organization. The BDM is perfectly placed to gain insight about competitors and feed this back to management to establish how RWS can out-position the competition.
BDM is together with Lead Management responsible to suggest the “yearly wheel & plan” when it comes to exhibitions and where RWS should be on display (co-partnering with Sarsys) or where we should only visit.
Specific Duties and Accountabilities:
Provide exceptional customer service to prospects and clients and help them to learn and understand more about EMAS and RWS product offering and abilities, and from this move them forward in the sales process, working together with BA-managers and KAMs based on the individual and unique circumstances for each identified lead.
Create and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals tailored to the needs of potential clients.
Develop and maintain relationships with partners, influencers, and other stakeholders.
Develop and maintain a database & CRM of leads and prospects for future reference.
Collaborate with the commercial team (KAM and BA-managers) and Marketing and Business Development team to create effective lead generation strategies.
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
Attend industry events and conferences to network and generate leads
\nEducation or Basic Knowledge Required
Experience as pilot in commercial airlines and interaction with airports is a key experience. Being able to understand the language of our customers as well as the potential users of an EMAS.
Software experience, particularly SAAS, a plus.
Experience Required
Hold a genuine passion for initiating conversations with multiple contacts in a wide range of organizations.
Possess entrepreneurial spirit and adaptability, alongside a relentless determination to deliver and achieve targets.
