SUMMARY
The Program Manager is a strong leader, effective problem solver, strategic thinker and has a strong passion for health education and serving youth and families in our community. Through effective programs and services, this role empowers individuals, youth, and families to make healthy decisions with the overall outcome of impacting the community’s health. The Program Manager is responsible for building strong relationships and engaging with partners and participants. The Program Manager possesses a strong skillset in coaching and development and is responsible for the personal and professional development of their team.
YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Strategy Planning
Working with big ideas and the skills necessary to prioritize, and turn those ideas into services for the community:
· Work with Senior Program Manager to develop program budget projections
· Monitor annual program plan and budget expenses
· Conduct needs assessments at community/ individual levels for program alignment
· Learn all programs; serve as program manager in other areas as needed
· Apply evidence-based strategies for curriculum development and implementation
· Assist with program facilitation and support staff at program sites as needed
· Develop and implement data informed program enhancements to increase cultural relevancy and address societal norms and trends
· Oversee data and evaluation to assess achievement of goals, objectives, and outcomes
· Provide program oversight to identify lessons learned to continuously improve program design and delivery
· Maintain detailed internal records
People

· Collaborate with partners/schools to pilot new initiatives and curriculum
· Maintain community relations, collaboration, and strategic partnerships
· Take initiative to establish new partnerships and collaborative relationships
· Responsible for assistance and attendance at designated community partnerships
· Recruit participants from underserved communities for programs and services
· Assist with marketing and social media components including success stories, photos, interviews, letters of support
Other
· Model professional, responsible behavior when representing Prevention Works.
· Maintain confidentiality and respect Prevention Works resources.
· Other duties as assigned consistent with the goals of Prevention Works.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
· Relevant degree or experience
· Minimum of two years of experience in coordination of programs and services is required.
· Minimum of two years of managing, coaching, and developing people is required.
· Certified Prevention Specialist or actively obtaining certification preferred. Certification required within two years of hire. Must maintain certification requirements
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, and other COMPETENCIES
· Technical skills: Word, Excel, Power Point, Mailchimp, Google platform
· Strong organization skills, demonstrated ability to successfully execute service
· Proven ability to build and sustain successful partnerships throughout the community
· Demonstrably strong communication skills- written, verbal, for large and small groups
· Experience facilitating and leading presentations and/or trainings
· Commitment to social justice work
· Comfortable having difficult conversations and demonstrate conflict resolution skills
· Must have an understanding of the culture and the community we serve
