Head of HES Training
Position Type: Full-time, salaried position
Job Summary
The Head of Home Energy Specialist (HES) Training is responsible for overseeing the training and development of HES employees. This role involves designing and delivering training programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, monitoring and tracking certifications, and providing support for HES team members.

- Training Program:
- Develop comprehensive training programs for HES team members, including onboarding processes and ongoing skill development.
- Create and update training materials to align with industry best practices and organizational objectives.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance the knowledge and proficiency of HES team members.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to home energy efficiency and safety.
- Monitor and evaluate trainee performance to ensure adherence to established standards and procedures.
- Implement corrective actions and provide additional support as needed to maintain high performance standards.
- Administrative Support:
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, assessments, and certifications and provide feedback to managers.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to schedule training sessions and allocate resources effectively.
- Purchase and track HES tools and equipment.
- Maintain testing equipment to BPI Goldstar standards.
- Complete weekly payroll functions.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Education & Experience
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Current Building Analyst Technician and Building Analyst Professional Certification or equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience in Home Energy Specialist (HES) related role.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Ability to conduct training classes and lead teams.
- Attention to detail.
- Self-starter and team player, able to collaborate and communicate Cross functionally.
- Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This is a supervisory role that may include overseeing and managing a team or department.
Work Environment
- Office Environment: This position is primarily based in an open office environment with typical office conditions; however, may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
Physical Demands
- Requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time, performing tasks on a computer, the ability to move within the office to attend meetings, access equipment, or interact with colleagues.
- This job may require travel in a personal or company-provided vehicle.
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend, crawl, or kneel in confined spaces. The employee may be required to lift up to 60 pounds, and must be able to climb ladders, enter crawl spaces, and move up and down stairs safely.
