Sarbanes Oxley Analyst implements and coordinates an organization's auditing strategy and activities for regulatory compliance. Deploys internal controls, best practices, and strategies to identify process deficiencies and implement improvements. Being a Sarbanes Oxley Analyst gathers, analyzes, and consolidates data for required regulatory reporting to fulfill content and scheduling requirements. Supports external regulatory inspections and internal audits and may coordinate document reviews, protocol reviews, validation reviews, and training programs as part of auditing processes. Additionally, Sarbanes Oxley Analyst maintains and updates a knowledge base or information system of the financial regulations, required processes, and industry/regulatory agency standards that govern a business or a product. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Sarbanes Oxley Analyst work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     Toyon is seeking a Technical Analyst to perform a wide variety of analysis tasks and conduct technology integration initiatives for a government customer. The analyst will be able to succeed at the following:


    • Identify conceptual approaches and define high-level capabilities for software applications based on in-depth assessments of customer activities, workflows, needs, and objectives
    • Develop specific technical requirements for software products and other technical solutions, and assess the corresponding challenges, risks, and level of effort to complete those requirements
    • Provide mathematical and technical guidance and support for mission operations, processes, and software applications
    • Review, test, and verify software solutions meet technical, functional, and user experience expectations or requirements
    • Assess risk to mission success considering comprehensive, overarching evaluations and detailed, specific analyses, utilizing existing risk management processes or through developing new risk analysis approaches based on general research and customer / end-user documentation, policies / procedures, and discussions
    • Conduct analytical studies and technical research
    • Assist in developing program plans to address operational gaps
    • Generate and communicate assessments of, and ideas for, project planning, staffing, and tasking
    • Assist, guide, mentor, and co-manage other project staff, whether junior, senior, or peer level

    The Technical Analyst will identify areas of mission performance that can be improved through the application of unique software tools and by working closely with software development teammates to craft innovative solutions. Additional duties and responsibilities will include guiding mission personnel with technical support, executing user testing of mission-oriented software tools, and authoring and clearly presenting briefings and analysis products or results to senior customer leadership and end-users.

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate will possess and exhibit the following experience and skills:


    • Minimum Bachelors of Science or equivalent degree, preferably in a scientific, technical, engineering, or mathematic field, with one or more advanced degrees preferred and a minimum of 10 years of applied experience
    • Experience managing technical staff, including software developers, with proven experience in the area of software management with solid knowledge of related processes and tools
    • Ability to define concrete and explicit analysis problems through interpretation of imprecise need statements
    • Ability to independently and collaboratively formulate an analysis approach, develop a basis for evaluating alternatives, and generate and present well-supported conclusions and recommendations to solve broad and complex problems
    • Experience in risk evaluation and risk management processes
    • Experience in developing program plans
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    The annual pay range for the Technical Analyst position is $170,000 to $200,000.


    The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. Toyon Research Corporation will consider the individual candidate’s education, work experience, applicable knowledge, skills and training, among other factors, when preparing an offer of employment.
