    SUMMARY: This position is required to drive varying and directly assigned daily transportation routes, activity trips and substitute for varying operations as needed. This position will be required to drive a variety of vehicles as assigned to support department and district operations and emergency district needs. This position also performs maintenance duties for the transportation center and district as assigned. This position is expected to manage an open, flexible and often-changing schedule that will require the driver to safely operate a variety of vehicles during all hours of the day and all types of weather/traffic conditions as needed. Understand district and department policies and procedures, state and federal regulations. Provide customer service and resolve operational route and trip needs and concerns with department and district staff. Provide any needed support to the department and district in emergency situations.

    Starting rate of pay is $23.80 per hour plus benefits. Range 22 - ($23.80 - $38.75) - Classified Salary Schedule (Current employees would receive a 5% promotional increase if selected.)
