Security Guard - Armed provides security and guards buildings, grounds, materials, work sites, or other venues. Monitors security systems and responds to alarms, reports of issues, or requests for assistance. Being a Security Guard - Armed patrols an assigned location. Follows required gate-keeping procedures such as verifying visitor credentials, conducting inspections, or preparing paperwork. Additionally, Security Guard - Armed may operate an access control or identity system to control building access. Completes shift activity logs and inputs to systems. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically requires Firearms Certification. May require a Security Guard License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Security Guard - Armed works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, theft, or other criminal behavior. A security officer must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the company maintain excellent working conditions by keeping our facilities safe and problem-free.
Responsibilities- Protecting assigned people and property locations from harassment, vandalism, and other forms of abusive or unauthorized treatment
- Ensuring that your weapon is well maintained and secure at all times
- Utilizing your weapon in times of extreme attack, when non-violent options have been exhausted
- Attending refresher training in weapons use, when needed
- Completing and submitting incident reports after noteworthy developments
- Ensuring that security equipment and measures are suitable and that they remain in excellent working condition at all times
- Implementing new security measures, if required
- Ensuring that your uniform remains clean and well-maintained and that you wear it while on duty
Qualifications- Class D Security (Certified)
- Class G Security License (Certified)
- Reliable transportation to get to the worksite
- Must have a valid driver's license
This position is on site in Rockledge FL. Starting 4/11 until 4/20, including Saturdays. 9 AM to 6 PM.
Possibility to permanent contract.
