Security Guard - Armed jobs in San Antonio, TX
Security Guard - Armed provides security and guards buildings, grounds, materials, work sites, or other venues. Monitors security systems and responds to alarms, reports of issues, or requests for assistance. Being a Security Guard - Armed patrols an assigned location. Follows required gate-keeping procedures such as verifying visitor credentials, conducting inspections, or preparing paperwork. Additionally, Security Guard - Armed may operate an access control or identity system to control building access. Completes shift activity logs and inputs to systems. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically requires Firearms Certification. May require a Security Guard License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Security Guard - Armed works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Med Security is seeking experienced Armed Security Officers not afraid to deal with the general public. READ THE FINE PRINT: Many of the posts will require "hands on" involvement. You will not be working at locations that allow you to sit in a vehicle and observe/report.
**MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE LEVEL 3 SECURITY LICENSE, PRIOR MILITARY OR LAW ENFORCEMENT STRONGLY PREFERRED**
Post is located in the San Antonio area. Ideal candidates will be team players, and willing to work night, overtime, and weekends as needed. All positions are outside.
Available Shift: Monday to Friday 5pm to close (closing time varies, roughly 1am)
REQUIRED:
- Active (Texas) level 3 commissioned license (In Hand)
- Your own firearm and duty belt. (In Hand)
- High school Diploma/ GED
- Reliable transportation
- Security experience (1 year)
PREFERRED:
- PRIOR MILITARY, LAW ENFORCEMENT, OR CURRENT TCOLE/TCLEOSE CERTIFICATE.
