Stödig Ship Management AS (SSM) holds 50 years’ experience in ship management. SSM is fully owned by Seatrans AS and Columbia Shipmanagement (CSM).

SSM head office is located in beautiful surroundings at Hop in Bergen, Norway. We have subsidiary offices in Poland, Bulgaria and Romania. SSM provides a tailormade ship management service for high quality shipowners.

Stödig Ship Management AS has evolved from an inhouse manager for the Seatrans fleet to 2nd/3rd party ship management. We have full technical management of chemical tankers, gas tankers and RoRo/general cargo ships. Our crewing organisation provides crew for more than 50 vessels in all major segments including offshore. This spring our cooperation with existing clients will grow and we will start a new business with an offshore vessel owner.

The ideal candidate holds several of the following qualifications and/or experiences:

• Master, Chief Officer, or Second Officer experience from Offshore vessels
• Experience with subsea cranes and/or W2W operations.
• Knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong communication skills.
• Fluency in English (oral and written).
• Experience with DP systems
• Experience with OVID and CMID inspections

Tasks:

• Actively promote the company's QHSE program and safety culture.
• Ensure regulatory and internal health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are met.
• Contribute to the achievement of the company’s target and governing objects
• Contribute to developing the company’s operational procedures.
• Visit/inspect ships at regular intervals.
• Ensure implementation of procedures and handling of events of assigned ships.
• Coordinate OVID and other inspections required by the clients.
• Contribute to keeping OVMSA updated.
• Assist and support the ships with nautical and operational issues.
• Carry out root cause analysis and incident investigations.
• Provide onboard training in navigational, operational, and safety matters.
