The Shipping Documentation Specialist II coordinates the preparation and organization of bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and required export licenses or compliance documents. Prepares shipping documentation and processes orders. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II troubleshoots shipping delays or changes with carriers and communicates to customers. Utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions. In addition, Shipping Documentation Specialist II ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling. Investigates and resolves shipping non-conformance. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being a Shipping Documentation Specialist II works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Working as a Shipping Documentation Specialist II typically requires 1-3 years of related experience, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification. Job Description:
Immediate opening for a Shipping Clerk with a well-established business in Presque Isle. Excellent daytime schedule; benefits available upon completion of temp-to-hire period. FT/Days; 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday; $18.00/hr.
The Shipping Clerk will process incoming and outgoing shipments for a local production facility. Employee will organize and store materials for easy retrieval, track and update shipping and delivery estimates, and keep accurate records of all incoming and outgoing deliveries being moved through the facility. Applicants should have at least 1-2 years of warehouse and/or inventory experience.
Responsibilities:- Examine incoming shipments and correspond with vendors to rectify any issues with damaged items and/or material shortages.
- Count, weigh, and/or measure items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of ladings, packing lists, and other records.
- Inspect materials sent out for processing in accordance with job-specific requirements.
- Maintain through and accurate records of raw inventory and work with production supervisors to make sure material issue procedures are followed.
- Perform periodic inventory checks to determine record accuracy.
- Identify and label incoming materials for storage.
- Use hand trucks and hoists to move shipments from the receiving platform to storage or work areas.
- Coordinate with other departments to keep production goals for the facility on track.
- Coordinate inspections with the facility’s quality control department.
- Authorize and file shipping documents.
- Follow established warehousing guidelines to promote inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
Job Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- At least one year of warehouse and/or inventory management experience.
- Ability to move/lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
- Good written and verbal communication; ability to work well independently, as well as coordinate on team efforts.
- Background check and drug screen required.
Schedule: Full-time/Days; 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday.
Pay: $18.00/hr.
