    General Function and Job Duties:
    Local show producer/reporter is responsible for all editorial processes and content. This person will also be able to execute the responsibilities of writing and producing all forms of content including, but not limited to interstitials, packages and documentaries. This person will be the project manager of all WTVI local content.


    Characteristics Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Researches best practices and possible video content and distribution sources.

    2. Creates video content.

    3. Manages local production schedule timelines.

    4. Writes, reports and produces local segments and programs.

    5. Reviews other reporters and freelancers’ content.

    6. Coordinates freelancers, videographers, and editors for shoots.

    7. Adheres to the highest level of journalistic content, best practices and follows all production PBS guidelines for quality and editorial integrity.

    8. Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Journalism or related field and/or at least five years of work experience in television producing/reporting.

    Required Documents:

    Conditions of employment:

    Salary for this position is $59,608 - $95,372. Pay grade for this position is N. Initial placement for new employees is customarily at entry level through 25% percentile. Contract type is Administrative. Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours, evening and weekend assignments may be required of any position. All positions are subject to budget approval.
