Job Title: Showroom Sales Associate – Wholesale Supply - Kingsport, TN

Job Summary: As a Showroom Sales Associate for Wholesale Supply, you will be the frontline representative responsible for providing exceptional customer service to contractors, tradespeople, and retail customers in our showroom. Your primary focus will be on assisting customers with product inquiries, processing sales transactions, and ensuring a positive and efficient experience within the showroom environment. The products you will be working with include plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, kitchen, and bath products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
• Greet customers warmly and assist them in identifying and locating plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, kitchen, and bath products in the showroom.
• Provide product information, technical specifications, and recommendations based on customer needs.
• Order Processing:
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Handle order inquiries, changes, and returns promptly and in accordance with company policies.
• Product Knowledge:
• Stay informed about the features, applications, and benefits of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, kitchen, and bath products.
• Attend training sessions to enhance product knowledge and keep up-to-date with industry trends.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor and identify inventory levels within the showroom.
• Notify the appropriate local Branch Manager when stock levels are low or when reordering is required.
• Cross-Selling and Upselling:
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell related products to maximize sales.
• Provide information on promotions and discounts to encourage additional purchases.
• Technical Support:
• Assist customers with basic technical questions and troubleshooting related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, kitchen, and bath products.
• Collaborate with the technical support team for more complex inquiries.
• Cash Handling:
• Process cash, credit, and electronic payments accurately and securely.
• Customer Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers by providing excellent service and addressing their needs.
• Follow up on customer inquiries and feedback to ensure satisfaction.
• Showroom Maintenance:
• Keep the showroom area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Ensure product displays are visually appealing and in compliance with merchandising standards.
• Compliance:
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Stay informed about relevant industry regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, kitchen, or bath products is a plus.
• Proven experience in a customer service or sales role, preferably in a similar industry.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong product knowledge and technical aptitude related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, kitchen, and bath supplies.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy products.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in order processing.
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
