Ferncroft Country Club, a private club located on Boston’s North Shore, is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Restaurant Supervisor who understands the concept of high-end customer service within a family-oriented country club setting that also features a brisk and growing weddings and events business. The Restaurant Supervisor is an intricate part of the club’s management team while working hand in hand with the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager.

Responsibilities include:

• Help the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager Plan and implement staffing schedules to ensure customer service standards are achieved with minimum employee cost. Monitor activities to ensure compliance with club payroll policies and procedures.
• Help manage and monitor Staff in the restaurant.
• Effectively and professionally interact and communicate with senior management, ownership, other employees, vendors, members, senior staff, sponsors and clients.
• Perform other duties as appropriate.

Qualifications required:

• Three-plus years of experience in the food and beverage/hospitality industry, with at least two years’ experience in personnel management.
• Proven track record of team management, organizational, and coaching skills.
• Solid understanding of a la carte and banquet revenue generation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of expense control as it relates to payroll and the forecasting and budgeting of expenses.
• Experience with purchasing and inventory systems.
• Technical literacy including Word and Excel, payroll management and point of sale systems.
• Team player able to grow relationships with management, staff, members and guests.

The Restaurant Supervisor will be the face of the dining experience. Candidate must have a professional appearance, strong communication and organizational skills with an outgoing personality. Understanding the concept of service to a discriminating clientele is a must. The ideal candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a highly skilled a la carte and event dining team.
