- Job Summary The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for organizing the night housekeeping staff and the cleaning operations of the club. Assists Housekeeping Services Manager with coaching, motivating, training, evaluating, and disciplinary actions of housekeeping staff. Ensures the main clubhouse and other club facilities are clean and orderly in accordance with MAC goals in a timely and cost effective manner. Essential Job Functions Ensure housekeeping schedules and assignments meet requirements. Review and approve employee sick leave and time off. Ensure staff performance meets Housekeeping Services cleaning standards through inspections and training. Conducts monthly inventory and assists with orders of chemicals, paper products and other supplies as needed. Ensure all housekeeping machinery functions properly; preventative maintenance is conducted on schedule, faults are reported, and repairs scheduled. Complete employee interviews, performance reviews and corrective actions. Communicate all HR related issues to Housekeeping Services Manager and Facilities Director. Complies with all regulatory laws and MAC safety policies and procedures. Demonstrates safe work practices and trains Emergency Response procedures. Conducts monthly safety trainings for staff. Identifies and reports unsafe or hazardous work conditions. Demonstrates the importance of providing quality service to members. Cultivates, maintains and enhances interdepartmental relationships. Maintains regular and predictable attendance. Performs housekeeping duties. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Essential job functions require the ability to: lift, carry, push and pull up to 20 lbs; occasionally bend, squat, climb, twist, and crawl; reach above shoulders and grasp or squeeze objects; stand, walking or standing for extended periods of time, and enter into confined spaces or outdoors while exposed to weather conditions. Position also involves considerable keyboarding and sitting for extended periods of time. Qualifications Demonstrated organizational and supervisory skills. Five years of housekeeping experience in a building of similar size and operation. Demonstrated knowledge of custodial equipment, chemicals, and other supplies. Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form. Ability to effectively motivate and develop staff and build cohesive teams. Management or supervisory experience is preferable.
