VCA Cromwell Animal Hospital is hiring an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician Supervisor to help oversee clinic operations and lead our team of Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Kennel team.

About the Role

As Veterinary Technician Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Directing work flow on the floor 
• Cultivate an engaging work environment and maintain our strong hospital culture
• Work cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital
• Help with the interview process for potential new hires and onboard all new associates 
• Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills 
• Conduct staff meetings
• Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience 
• Mentor and train technicians within the department
• Organize and implement a team staffing schedule  
• Resolve conflicts in a professional and humble manner 
• Refining and implementing protocols
• Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.

Potential Schedule: At least one day per week until 8pm, one Saturday per month.

Compensation:  $27 - $32 / hour based on skill set, experience, and licensure status.

Having mastered the entire range of vet tech skills yourself, you are a role model for the team. You will work alongside our Veterinarians, and Hospital Manager to provide mentorship, ensure the hospital runs efficiently and fosters a winning environment. 

Qualifications:

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician- CVT, LVT, RVT, LVMT
• 5 years of clinical experience 
• Team leadership experience
• Passion for Veterinary Medicine 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
