The Produce Team Leader plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the produce department within our retail environment. This position is responsible for leading a team of associates, managing daily operations, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for fresh produce, while also being adept in retail management practices.

Duties

• Lead and supervise the produce team to ensure high standards of product quality and customer service.
• Manage daily operations including inventory control, product displays, and merchandising strategies.
• Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate transactions at the register.
• Train and develop team members on best practices in produce handling, customer service, and sales techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the produce department to enhance customer experience.
• Assist customers with inquiries, providing knowledgeable recommendations on products.
• Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock availability.
• Collaborate with management to implement promotional strategies and sales initiatives.

What are the 3-4 non-negotiable requirements of this position? 1 year in a meat manufacturing environment (preferably pork or beef)
Prior 1 supervisory experience and or team lead experience
Must be available for relocation
