Software Quality Assurance Supervisor supervises the daily operations of a software quality assurance team. Assigns testing tasks to team members. Being a Software Quality Assurance Supervisor trains team on tools and methodologies to ensure that software tests identify defects and comply with quality standards. Evaluates test results against expected results and recommends improvements to test plans and scripts as needed. Additionally, Software Quality Assurance Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Reports to a manager. The Software Quality Assurance Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Software Quality Assurance Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Quality Supervisor
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team and oversee the quality department and all products and services that our organization produces. Will create a companywide quality culture based on continuous improvement and sound quality process control procedures including the implementation of SPC, effective KPI reporting, and maintaining our ISO certification.
Ultimately, you will work with our Quality Team to ensure our final products meet our customer’s and organization’s performance standards across all product lines.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining ISO certification
- Identification of critical processes and implementation of appropriate controls.
- Identify and reduce process variations at critical points of the process.
- Maintain the gage calibration program.
- Introduction and development of SPC controls and reporting.
- Develop the quality reporting system for all levels of the company.
- Ensure effective incoming inspection procedures in place and utilized.
- Review field returns and work with engineering and manufacturing to develop corrective actions.
- Interact with customers as a professional company representative to resolve existing quality issues and advance mutually beneficial solutions.
- Interface with suppliers to resolve quality problems and develop improvements.
Summary of skills:
- Demonstrate ability to maintain an effective ISO program including documentation, internal audits, and annual inspections.
- Must have experience developing a comprehensive company wide quality program; above maintaining existing programs.
- Comfortable presenting to and working with management to create the understandings and culture to support a controlled continuous improvement environment.
- Must have in depth knowledge and experience in the practical application of SPC run charts, reporting, and corrective action response.
- Should have functional familiarity with simple DOE and gage R&R.
- Able to formally conduct process mapping, fishbone analysis, and other brainstorming and problem-solving techniques.
- Six Sigma and 5S a big plus.
