• Work daily with the laundry team to ensure proper quantities of linens and towels are available for service demand. Inventory and re-order linens and towels as needed to ensure we have proper par stock.
• Maintain up-to-date maintenance logs to include scheduled repair teams coming in along with the date and time for repairs.
• Support the Reservations Department in ensuring Guest Type is correct and that online booking services are managed to support booking templates.
• Manage daily operations of the spa and recreation departments with a focus on all service and operational logistics. Create and update service SKUs and service packages in B4T.
• Demonstrate retail planning, ordering, and inventory management acumen.
• Develop a collaborative alliance with the Director in elevating guest experiences and associate engagement.
• Act as an Ambassador for the spa representing the brand values for associates and establishing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Effective associate communication and welfare for new and existing staff as well as other departments at the property and corporate teams.
• Strong understanding of recreation operation in a resort environment, including family and kid programming.
• Support strategic initiatives for wellness programming applicable to the resort to help market the overall well-being offerings/product, executed by the Director of Spa & Recreation
• Knowledgeable of all aspects of recreation and wellness offerings, facility, and overall property; in person and over the telephone.
• Create training guidelines and programs to support the associate’s development and ensure exceptional guest service experiences.
• Assist in the recruitment, development, and training of all department associates.
• Evaluate and supervise the performance of team members, and when necessary, provide timely disciplinary action including any written documentation and coaching.
• Guest experience standards development and training, in collaboration with the Director.
• Leading frontline associate and guest engagement through the reference of 5 Star Standards.
• Maintaining a high level of professionalism in all aspects of the job.
• Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the resort senior leadership team.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of previous experience as a spa/recreation/wellness Assistant Spa Director or Spa Director role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and computer skills.
• Book4Time expertise preferred.
• Strong understanding and demonstrated acumen as a retail buyer, merchandiser, and event organizer.
• Previous experience in a hotel/resort/high volume luxury spa environment required.
• Previous experience in spa therapy would be an asset.
• Knowledge of driving revenue and ensuring maximum efficiency of the booking channels.
• Guest service excellence.
• Self-starter with a leading-edge collaborative mindset, demonstrated by previous creation of innovative programming.
• Strategic planning acumen and demonstrated experience in executing new initiatives.
• Strong training skills and training program development.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, by certifications, and/or examples through prior experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Thorough understanding of financial P&L, budget development, and forecasting.
• A pro-active acumen for troubleshooting operational challenges.
• Positivity and emotional intelligence in dealing with interpersonal relations and guest satisfaction.
• Ability to prioritize tasks to effectively lead a large team and stay competitively innovative within the industry.
