The Spa Operations Manager supports the Spa Director in managing all aspects of the day-today Spa, Salon, Retail, E-Commerce and Shipping and Receiving operations and related services, it’s financial performance and provides support to the Spa Director in the implementation of strategic initiatives at the spa. Maximizes productivity and ensures adequate staffing levels, inspects and implements necessary safety and sanitation and conducts maintenance and housekeeping inspections. Oversees inventory in all professional products. Implements, demonstrates and executes Spa Customer Service Standards, providing an unequaled Spa Experience for our guests, owners and associates. Monitors problem reconciliation with guests and associates. Works to ensure that excellence in operational and performance standards are set, met and exceeded. Must have strong written and oral communication skills. Proven ability to motivate. Inspire, train, develop and direct management and staff. Must be able to prioritize and able to multi-task. Must have experience in Word, Excel, Outlook and industry PMS System(s). Must be able to interpret documents such as staff schedules, meeting minutes, safety rules, policy and procedure manuals, standards and procedures, disciplinary notices and performance reviews. This is a full-time salary-based position. Must have the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Job Summary
The Spa Operations Manager assists the Spa Director in overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day Spa, Salon and Retail operations and related services, it’s financial performance, provides guidance and oversight of the implementation of strategic initiatives at the spa. Directly responsible for the Spa Treatment Staff, Spa and Prep Attendants and Spa Front Desk Supervisor. Maximizes productivity and ensures adequate staffing levels, treatment execution, inspects and implements necessary service and safety guidelines and conducts maintenance and other spa site inspections.
Education and Experience
3 or more years’ supervisory or management experience preferably in a Resort Spa, Destination Spa or High-End Club.
Current CT Massage License preferred.
Consistently demonstrates a warm, enthusiastic manner, with excellent interpersonal and guest/member relations skills. Outstanding customer service experience necessary.
