Under the general supervision of the Purchasing Manager the Contract Specialist performs a variety of corporate duties to support creation, processing, management, and termination of vendor contracts. Maintains a standardized and centralized system of contract administration, contract compliance and contract database management.

Required skills:

• Associates Degree or Equivalent Combination of education and experience
• 1- 3 years Healthcare-Related experience and/or Supply Chain or Purchasing background preferred.

• Demonstrated knowledge of software programs required i.e. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform efficiently in a high volume, fast paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Proficient organization and problem solving skills are required to develop/implement efficient work processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills are necessary.
• Ability to maintain knowledge and a high level of competency in the use, configuration, and management of the ERP system.
• Proficient computer literacy skills
• Self- motivated with a strong desire to learn.
