Specialty Pharmacy Technician assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense high dollar/specialty medications (e.g. Oncology, Multiple Sclerosis). Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Being a Specialty Pharmacy Technician receives and stocks incoming supplies. May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Additionally, Specialty Pharmacy Technician requires a high school diploma. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Specialty Pharmacy Technician works under moderate supervision. McQuade's Pharmacy is a family-owned independent full-service retail pharmacy with a non-sterile compounding lab. We are looking for a motivated candidate to join our pharmacy team. Strong customer service skills are a must. Applicants are required to have completed a High School degree and be of 18 years of age to apply.
Candidates should have at least a year of retail pharmacy experience to apply and be registered with the RI Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician. We are willing to provide on-the-job training for the right candidate. This position is for a part time associate to work with our team on our expanding blister packing service.
Afternoons/nights and Saturdays are required
