Program Manager, Strategic Client Engagement (Global Autonomy Programs)

  • Reporting to Vice President, Automation and Corporate Development, the Program Manager, Strategic Client Engagement will be responsible for leading strategic client programs to form and establish new commercial service models that will deliver Wenco’s next-generation Open Autonomy capabilities in the global mining sector.   This role will be based out of Perth, WA, Australia.    Key Deliverables and Responsibilities  Maintain comprehensive understanding of all commercial and contractual obligations associated to Global Autonomy Programs Effectively manage client programs as Wenco’s representative and according to the terms and conditions of contracted obligations Establish and continuously improve program management charters, risk management protocols, plans and schedules, including inputs from all Wenco multi-stakeholder requirements Represent and communicate Wenco’s formal position at all nominated key client and third party forums Provide Wenco Executive sponsors regular information briefings on all program related health, risk and client engagement issues Convene regular meetings with key autonomy partner organisations to leverage program improvements and innovation opportunity for mutual benefit Facilitate the development of a Wenco industry methodology for deployment of Open Autonomy Participate actively in the development of multi-organisational integrated software life-cycle capabilities Manage program and project teams for optimal return on investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for managers and stakeholders   Experience and Knowledge Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or the Advanced Diploma of Program Management Nice to have: Master’s in business administration (MBA) or a Master’s in Project Management (MPM) 5 years of project management experience in complex technology development and deployment environments (preferably mining or Oil & Gas Industries) Technology and operational experience in mining programs (preferably across fleet management, automation and/or associated fields) High level of business exposure and success in managing, negotiating and expectation setting with clients or third parties Management of diverse & complex stakeholder groups Proven ability to deliver milestones in projects and project deliverables Able to establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules Experience in overseeing program plans and tracking of progress and changes Provide guidance and role modeling to all members   Skills and Abilities Entrepreneurial attitude that seeks to identify value accretive opportunities for Wenco’s clients through applied technology, services and/or business partner solutions Excels in client relationships building, management and communications Seek opportunities to make improvements to team efficiency and process.
