Student Activities Officer assists in the development, organization, and oversight of the university/college's extra-curricular programs. Sets up social events and has a participatory role in the Greek system, the student government, and student run clubs. Being a Student Activities Officer approves funding for various student activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Student Activities Officer typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Student Activities Officer gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. POSITION OBJECTIVE: The job of Student Activities Manager is done for the purpose/s of supervising the financial functions of student activities at school sites; conveying and updating fiscal information; and ensuring that revenues are generated, expenses are within budget limits and fiscal practices are followed; and all aspects of extracurricular fee tax credit statute.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require):
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is desired
Experience: 5 years’ experience in Accounting desired, including supervisory responsibilities. 2 years’ experience in school district finance preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time.
Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
