Subrogation Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the department which processes subrogation claims according to established standards and schedules. Oversees the evaluation of subrogation claims and recovery of overpayments for duplicate coverage, workers' compensation, and no-fault claims. Being a Subrogation Manager develops and maintains efficient other party liability and coordination of benefits systems. May be responsible for hiring, training, and firing staff. Additionally, Subrogation Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Subrogation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Job Description
The Subrogation Claims Specialist/Recovery Agent is required to pursue responsible parties for outstanding insurance claims. Also make and attempt to recover any valid insurance information to cover the responsible party for the loss.
Essential Functions
1. Contact adverse via mail and phone for their insurance information or recover the monies owed.
2. Negotiate the recovery of payments made on behalf of our client’s insured for damages sustained on claims assigned to us from major insurance companies.
3. Develop strong theories of liability based on evidence supplied by our client.
4. Overcome disputes.
Skills and Attributes
· Require at this level include knowledge of applicable rules and statues of the process and principals of the insurance and basic subrogation concepts.
· Ability to use computers to access standard data base
· Communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Training will be provided for the right candidate.
