Subrogation Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the department which processes subrogation claims according to established standards and schedules. Oversees the evaluation of subrogation claims and recovery of overpayments for duplicate coverage, workers' compensation, and no-fault claims. Being a Subrogation Manager develops and maintains efficient other party liability and coordination of benefits systems. May be responsible for hiring, training, and firing staff. Additionally, Subrogation Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Subrogation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     Position Summary: The HR Manager oversees the daily operations of the HR department, ensuring all human resources activities are effectively executed to deliver maximum value to the organization. This position requires both strategic oversight, hands-on-involvement in daily HR operations, and the ability to handle a wide range of HR responsibilities for remote and in-person staff located in multiple states.


    Primary Responsibilities/Tasks:

    • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
    • Provide guidance and support to management and employees on HR-related matters
    • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute hr programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, and engagement.
    • Manage the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of employees.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
    • Develops and updates HR policies
    • Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes employee engagement
    • Processes garnishments, court orders, and supports the payroll process
    • Review and approve benefit transactions and resolve discrepancies
    • Updates and distributes employee handbook
    • Completes and maintains various reports
    • Conducts HR related training for supervisors
    • Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations
    • Represents the company at personnel related hearings
    • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
    • Perform all other HR responsibilities and other duties as necessary and assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development or related field
    • Seven or more years of Human Resources experience with three in a supervisory/management role, including administering FMLA leave
    • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the HRIS system
    • Strong knowledge of current human resources practices, employment regulations


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • HR Certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.)
    • Previous experience in the insurance industry
