We are seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Supply Chain Business Analyst supporting our Logistics department. Our seasoned team of analysts are skilled in collecting and analyzing data and providing insights from that data that enable us to draw better conclusions, plan for the future and drive critical business decisions. This is a Hybrid role based out of Newport News, VA HQ location, in accordance with the Ferguson Flex schedule; 3 days office / 2 days remote
Responsibilities:
Provide daily support in the execution of all areas of logistics including crafting reports, analyzing data, and planning ongoing projects.
Perform in-depth & insightful analysis, both on a re-occurring and ad-hoc basis that include but are not limited to final mile, parcel, LTL and Truck Load
Ownership & responsibilities for various reporting, dashboards, metrics, and automation of processes:
Effectively mine data from various Enterprise systems (e.g.: Trilogie, SQL Data Warehouse, Logility, Azure).
Construct, develop, optimize, manipulate, and implement sophisticated SQL database queries.
Design, build, deploy & maintain PowerBI solutions & dashboards.
Find opportunities to use PowerAutomate and explore PowerApps.
Provide analytical & creative problem-solving support for projects such as: parcel contracts and LTL RFPs
Deep analysis of LTL and Parcel Freight to better the customer’s experience
Merging financials with activity performance to drive productivity for Ferguson
Maintain collaborative & cross-functional working relationships with business leaders and peers across the various departments & groups in the organization.
Serve as subject matter expert to business leaders, helping them to solve problems, draw conclusions, plan for the future & drive critical business decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 1-5 years’ experience (incl internship) in supply chain or analytics
Prior experience working in a branch or distribution center is a plus, but not required
Business insight & a good understanding of supply chain processes (i.e.: warehouse management, domestic logistics, final mile, freight pay)
Strong analytical skills including the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large datasets with attention to detail and accuracy
“Forward Thinker” with excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent communication & presentation skills
Able to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative environment
Knowledge of statistical concepts as well as analytical methodologies
Robust knowledge of and experience with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
Skilled and experienced in using technologies to mine and/or analyze data (e.g.: Excel, SQL, Azure…)
Project management experience is a plus, but not required

Pay Range:

$3,600.00 - $6,783.70-
Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
