Surgical Technologist jobs in New Jersey
Surgical Technologist assists medical team with preparations for surgical procedures and during the procedure. Prepares equipment, instruments, supplies, operating room, and patients and ensure sterile field. Being a Surgical Technologist coordinates preparation or disposal of specimens and delivery to laboratory according to procedures. Maintains inventory of sterile supplies. Additionally, Surgical Technologist may assist in patient transport. Requires completion of surgical technologist training course. Requires a high school diploma. Requires CPR certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Surgical Technologist works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Accountabilities / Responsibilities
We are actively hiring for a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Responsibilities:
- Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
- Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas.
- Assist with post procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Requirements:
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
- Prior Experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
- Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
- Successful completion of BLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
