Surgical Technologist assists surgeons and other medical professionals before, during, and after surgical procedures. Responsible for ensuring the operating room environment is safe, and that the required equipment is available, sterile, and functioning properly. Being a Surgical Technologist observes the patient's vital signs, checks charts, and provides instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies as needed. Coordinates preparation or disposal of specimens and delivery to laboratory according to procedures. Additionally, Surgical Technologist may assist in patient transport. Requires a high school diploma. Requires CPR Certification. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Surgical Technologist works under moderate supervision. Very busy General Surgeons office is seeking a full-time, bilingual (Spanish) professional, dedicated medical receptionist. Experience in the healthcare field is required. Experience with Athenahealth or an EHR is a plus.
