About the Position

C & B Custom Modular has an immediate opening for an Engineering Director in our Bristol, IN office. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years’ professional experience in the Modular industry is highly preferred, strong knowledge of commercial modular building codes (CSA/USA), structural calculations, plan submittal, review and approval process are required as well as proficiency with CAD software including modified and new plans.  Communicate with sales, purchasing, production and quality control. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading, growing organization in the industry.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Create prints using AutoCad drawing software for layout diagrams, schematics and production documents.
• Oversee the code compliance and approval process by all governing agencies.
• Monitor, maintain and secure all agency approvals
• Responsible to work at all times with sales and production
• Define, schedule and monitor required personnel and hardware resources required to manage the creation of design and construction documents in AutoCad.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:

• High attention to detail, with ability to be a self-starter and a Team Leader
• Knowledge of general construction standards and related codes.
• Ability to check over work to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of prints.
• Knowledge of standard computer techniques, CAD schematic design.
• Knowledge of product with ability to be able to draw the project from start to finish

Education and Qualifications:

• Drafting degree or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with and general knowledge of constructions standards.
• 3-5 years or more of experience using CAD systems.
• Must have management experience
