Essential Job Duties :
Manage the activities of the stockroom and shipping / receiving personnel in the movement of material required to meet production schedules
Manage the receiving of materials into the company / storeroom and directs the storing of items in a systematic and convenient location for usage as needed;
responsible for all facets of inventory control
Plan, schedule, organize and direct work, and recommend to manager employees for awards, counseling or termination
Provide day to day direction and set priorities to assure that work orders needed in production are kitted in a timely manner
Conduct interviews of potential candidates and facilitate hiring
Ensure that employees are properly trained
Assure the correct processing of defective material from the floor as well as ECO implementation
Perform cycle count program; executes yearly physical inventories, and the fulfillment of internal and external customer requirements (work orders, sales orders, replenishment programs, Kanbans, requisitions)
Ensure that orders are shipped according to schedule
Monitors overtime and ensures that none occurs without prior management approval
Ensure all shipments are in compliance with all DOT regulations
Responsible for researching discrepancies in daily cycle count results
Ensure that employees adhere to labor standards and are informed of company notices and follows through with any requirements as necessary
Through Purchasing, may request parts, supplies, and materials as required
Provide direction and inventory plans when setting up production work cells
Directs the marking of items as needed for identification purposes and the filling of orders or requisitions for materials.
Ensure accurate and efficient flow of all material within KanBan programs
Adapt to continuously changing situations and logistical challenges
Understand the Logistics process and procedure especially in Safety of Workers, Materials and Equipment
Understand MRB process and all aspects of ECO implementation as it pertains to inventory control
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
Co-signs with manager all time off requests, and is contact for all call-outs
Work with IMP partners re : obsolete material to be sold when it cannot be returned / charged to the customer
Educational and Experience Requirements :
High School Diploma
5 years of Materials / Warehouse experience in a capital equipment manufacturing environment
3 years of Materials / Warehouse supervisory experience
Forklift certified
Overhead Crane certified
