- b) Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely professional manner.
- c) Ensure medical needs of each person are met, with appropriate follow up documentation completed in a timely manner.
- d) Ensure programs and guidelines are followed as written, including behavioral support, person-centered plans, and other individualized plans of service.
- e) Expect the rights of people living in the home are honored at all times and take necessary actions to remediate any potential or actual violation that occurs, per requirements. f) Identify and pursue opportunities to increase knowledge and skills to improve management/leadership effectiveness.
- Demonstrate mission centered, ethical leadership in the supervision of staff.
- Model gentle teaching for staff
- b) In the absence of your home manager, or when otherwise required, lead with clarity, judgement, and commitment to the agency’s mission and values.
- c) Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills which reflect integrity, ethics, and respect for all levels of HGA persons served, staff, partners, and stakeholders.
- d) Identify problems and take ownership when addressing difficult situations.
- Under the guidance and direction of your home manager, learn effective management competencies, as evidenced by fulfilling legal and ethical obligations as outlined in policy, applicable law, rules, or regulations.
- Maintain on-call availability to manage and coordinate emergency situations.
- b) Continuous hands-on monitoring of implementation of HGA’s policies and procedures, as evidenced by positive site review outcomes and licensure.
- c) Assist in ensuring accurate and timely completion of all documentation, including clinical charts, logs, incident reports, health and safety checklists, and other records in accordance with policy, rule, law, or regulation.
- d) Prioritize responsibilities and manage time efficiently to ensure all responsibilities are met.
- e) Assist the home manager in developing support staff competency through effective training, including initial, annual, group and individual trainings as required and/or necessary. f) Monitoring, evaluating, coaching, and mentoring staff on an ongoing basis.
- . Serve as a liaison between HGA Administration and co-workers, persons served, guardians, contract and licensing personnel, and others within the home and community.
- Maintain respectful communication to promote a positive working/living environment.
- b) Demonstrate professionalism with agency partner representatives, guardians/families, and others visiting the home or encountered in the community.
- c) Maintain regular and frequent contact with the home manager and HGA Administration about events occurring in the home or with persons served.
- d) Advocate for persons served to ensure the best possible quality of life and to protect their rights in all situations and locations.
- Provide direct care services as needed on a daily basis as identified in the Direct care staff job description.
- Ensure that all responsibilities on the attached checklist and responsibilities are completed in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Some college coursework preferred. At least two years of Direct Care experience required. 24 hour on-call availability for emergencies and to provide direct care as needed when the home manager is not available Other: Valid unrestricted Michigan driver’s license. Good driving record. Ability to work within the Mission of the agency. Satisfactory background check.
