In order to meet the growing needs of our clients and our continued growth, our Firm is looking for a high-quality Tax Supervisor. The ideal candidates will be individuals highly focused on their careers with ambitions to grow and make a difference in the firm they join for years to come.

• 5-6 years of experience in public accounting with a specialization in tax for a minimum of 5 years
• Understanding of relevant tax legislation as well as corporate, personal, and partnership tax compliance and planning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
• Strong sense of responsibility and ownership. Leads and inspires followership.
• Team player, client-focused, and high standard of excellence.
• Displays strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• Working to attain a Master's degree.
• Working to attain CPA.

• Demonstrable success in leading teams in a public accounting setting.
• Partner-track ambitions.
• Master's Degree in Taxation.
• CPA license.
• Proficiency with ProSystems FX, and/or RIA Checkpoint.

• Complete new hire orientation and onboarding.
• Complete introductory training.
• Begin growing your internal network by meeting with other Supervisors, Managers, and Directors.
• Start building relationships with the clients in your book of business.
• Prepare complex individual, corporate, and partnership income tax returns.

• Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
• Researching tax issues and documenting this research in tax memos or client letters.
• Review tax returns done by staff and makes recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities; gain increasing responsibilities in the review process.

• Supervise, train, and mentor associates on client engagements.
• Start tax planning and calculation of estimated tax payments.
• Manage client engagements from start to finish which includes planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects, managing the budget, meeting deadlines and client expectations
