Position Overview:
Water Taxi captains play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of passengers, crew, and vessels while delivering an entertaining and enjoyable experience on the water. They are leaders not only within the company but also in the broader maritime community. This position does require a Captain to work the 2nd shift which includes nights, weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the vessel, including navigation and systems management.
- Ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and the vessel itself.
- Effectively manage the crew to maintain operational efficiency.
- Adhere to all United States Coast Guard (USCG) regulations and Water Taxi policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the passenger experience.
- Foster a collaborative and team-oriented workplace environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Possession of a 50-ton or greater captain’s license.
- Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
- Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license.
- Ability to serve alcohol in compliance with Florida law.
- Personable demeanor with a proactive "can-do" attitude.
