St. Joseph School York PA is a Catholic school in York, PA. We are seeking an elementary school teacher to join our team. This position is full-time (35 hours per week).

Duties include:

• Teaching elementary students in a Catholic early childhood education programs.
• Establishing and maintaining a learning environment that is conducive to study and play.
• Developing an appropriate classroom routine for the needs of the students.
• Developing an appropriate classroom management system.
• Carrying out the assigned responsibilities of the school administration in an efficient and timely manner.
• Maintaining a positive attitude and a willingness to work with others to improve the school environment.

Skills:

• Proven experience as an elementary teacher or teaching assistant
• Excellent understanding of child development and preschool educational methods
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to act as mediator between students and their parents
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work well with a team of teachers.
• Caring and compassionate attitude
• Certification in early childhood education or other related fields preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
