The IT Service Desk Manager ensures team members are trained and coached on effective methods to research, troubleshoot, deliver solutions, and access the current product or technical updates. Manages the staff and operations of an organization's technical help desk. Being an IT Service Desk Manager identifies and gathers key metrics to analyze the help desk performance and identify problem areas. Trains the team on the help desk systems and tools to identify, document, track, and resolve reported problems. In addition, IT Service Desk Manager monitors and measures service metrics and volume to develop standards, improvements, or changes to workflows and resource allocation. Acts as an escalation point and facilitator for severe, critical, or unique issues. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The IT Service Desk Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as an IT Service Desk Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Purpose of the Job

    Technical Manager manages the technical aspects of the fleet of offshore lightering support vessels and is responsible for the shore facilities.

    Key Accountabilities

    Serves as Technical Advisor and trouble-shooter of AET LSV fleet
    Responsible for scheduled and unscheduled dry docks KPI and MBO
    Prepare dry dock specifications and gather quotations
    Supervise dry dock operations
    Team member Oil Spill Response 3rd Alternate Q1/ Alternate
    Procurement and inventory of spares, critical spares and supplies
    Purchasing Lube oil and monitoring lube oil analysis program
    Evaluation of vessel Engineers/Oilers
    Vessel Administration, COI, COD, ABS and all regulatory documents
    Schedule and coordinate inspections and maintain compliance
    Maintain technical and maintenance (NS5) logs for the vessels
    Buildings maintenance at AET Offshore Services
    To comply with Company's policies and Code of Conduct and Business Ethics (CoBE)

    Qualifications

    Qualifications include:
    Education: Minimum: Bachelors Degree in Marine /Mechanical Engineering
    Professional Certification: United States Coast Guard Licensed Chief Engineer
    Experience: 5 years as Technical Manager/Port Engineer of marine vessels including management
    Specialized knowledge: Thorough knowledge of marine maintenance, budget and procurement
    Ability to troubleshoot 3512 Caterpillar High Speed diesel engines, C-9/C4.4/C-18 Caterpillar generator engines, automation testing and calibration, electronic controls and monitoring systems, reduction gear systems and emergency back up. Shipyard, preventative maintenance and new build project experience. Some knowledge of building engineering (Stationary Engineer)
    Skills and Abilities: Strong written communications and negotiating skills. Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, and Preventive Maintenance software. Organized, analytical thinker, teamplayer, innovative, reliable, and strong leadership skills.

    Physical requirements

    Must be able to work in an outside environment. Must be able to climb between LSV’s. Work may require occasional overnight travel and weekend and/or evening work. Offshore attendance may be required in exceptional circumstances.
