The IT Service Desk Manager ensures team members are trained and coached on effective methods to research, troubleshoot, deliver solutions, and access the current product or technical updates. Manages the staff and operations of an organization's technical help desk. Being an IT Service Desk Manager identifies and gathers key metrics to analyze the help desk performance and identify problem areas. Trains the team on the help desk systems and tools to identify, document, track, and resolve reported problems. In addition, IT Service Desk Manager monitors and measures service metrics and volume to develop standards, improvements, or changes to workflows and resource allocation. Acts as an escalation point and facilitator for severe, critical, or unique issues. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The IT Service Desk Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as an IT Service Desk Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position Overview:

    As a Customer Support/Technical Support specialist on the IT Customer Support Team, you will provide the organization with information technology support to optimize operational efficiency.  Your duties will include resolving technical issues, maintaining hardware and software installations, and improving IT systems. You will provide technical support in Tier 1, Tier 2, and sometimes resolve problems that fall in the Tier 3 level. 


    Your daily work tasks will include providing general network support for customer such as end device support such as VoIP, fax, printers, WYSE, and thick clients, web cameras, upgrade and re-image laptops; providing on-site customer support to fly-away teams such as setting up user accounts, logon process, setting up print queues, and accessing portals.  


    You will also perform periodic security assessments and update equipment inventory system; assist customers in resolving access problems, printer problems, et; assist with procurement of IT equipment; and maintain Emergency Control Center (ECC) IT equipment.

    Experience Required:
    • Must have at least 2 years’ experience in providing customer focused service with knowledge of Windows operating systems.  
    • Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries; in-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks; and the ability to determine IT needs and train end-users.
    • Experience in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics. 
    • Advanced knowledge of database maintenance and system security.
    • Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in IT support.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.  
    •  CompTIA Security Certificate is highly desirable.

    $70,000 - $80,000 a year
    *Please note: Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise and geographic region & may vary from the amount above. This range does not represent additional compensation benefits (such as sales commissions, short - and long - term incentive packages, 401K match, medical, dental or vision insurance).

    Required Level of Security Clearance: Secret Clearance
