The IT Service Desk Manager ensures team members are trained and coached on effective methods to research, troubleshoot, deliver solutions, and access the current product or technical updates. Manages the staff and operations of an organization's technical help desk. Being an IT Service Desk Manager identifies and gathers key metrics to analyze the help desk performance and identify problem areas. Trains the team on the help desk systems and tools to identify, document, track, and resolve reported problems. In addition, IT Service Desk Manager monitors and measures service metrics and volume to develop standards, improvements, or changes to workflows and resource allocation. Acts as an escalation point and facilitator for severe, critical, or unique issues. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The IT Service Desk Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as an IT Service Desk Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be a part of our frontline support team of skilled Customer Technical Support Specialists. You will respond to customer requests over the phone or by email. Your work will be fast-paced and independent as you will be expected to manage yourself and your task to be available to respond quickly to customers. You will also collaborate with other support team members to better serve our customer base!
     
    You have supported SAAS offerings, hardware, or similar offerings and understand the challenges and rewarding nature of working through the barriers of customer communication.
     

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
    • Ensure customer technical issues are supported thoroughly, accurately, efficiently, and promptly;
    • Perform the proper support tasks involved with ID system setups, which include installations, training, documentation, and quality control procedures;
    • Document all technical cases in FreshDesk ticketing tool;
    • Document supporting material for continued customer success;
    • Evaluate new and existing software with different operating platforms;
    • Evaluate new and existing card printing hardware with different operating platforms;
    • Perform other technical-related tasks as defined by the Technical Service Manager;
    • Support CI Solutions office with technical support for use of office software, hardware;
    • Keep setup area clean and organized
    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent schooling in a technical discipline
    • Exhibit ability to troubleshoot technical problems related to drivers, software, hardware, and databases.
    • 2 years of technical customer service
    • Exhibit patience in dealing with and troubleshooting issues with all customers and respect for their time.
    • Ability to thoroughly complete assigned tasks and projects.
    • Ability to provide outstanding service to all customers.
    • Ability to work independently with little supervision
