We are seeking an independent, confident, and engaging Regional Technical Consulting Veterinarian who resides in North California to join a well-established pet organization. This position is fully remote with required domestic travel of up to 75 percent. The ideal candidate will have reasonable accessibility to a major airport.
The Regional Technical Consulting Veterinarian will have a passion for sales and for mentoring others. In this role, the ideal candidate will serve as the veterinary expert for the sales representatives in their geography, assigned sales district, and the organization. The ability to teach others is important. The Regional Technical Consult will educate and train veterinarians and staff at corporate hospitals, universities, and general practices on the organizations product portfolio.
Additional Key Responsibilities And Tasks
One-on-one customer interactions to support the business, deliver technical presentations to the customer base and provide technical support at veterinary meetings (including national, regional, state, or local level meetings).
Occasional support may be requested for other areas in the organization such as Strategic, Specialty, and Retail Accounts.
Travel commitment will average 60%, but may be higher at times up to 75%, due to new product launches or other special activities.
Occasional weekend and evening work is required.
Technical support for current products as well as the support of new product launches.
Assist with product technical training.
Provide support to your assigned Veterinary Colleges/Schools.

Basic Qualifications
Graduate of an American Veterinary Medical Association accredited veterinary program with a corresponding veterinary degree. Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, to practice veterinary medicine in the United States.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing veterinarian in companion animal or mixed animal practice (companion animal focus) although consideration may also be given to experience in comparable industry roles.
A valid US drivers license.
The ideal candidate will also hold an advanced degree in veterinary medicine. In addition, the candidate will have a solid knowledge of the companion animal market, products, and related medical conditions with sound clinical and diagnostic skills. Strong written, communication and interpersonal skills are key for this role, and the ability to plan and execute well.
