JOB DESCRIPTION
The Erling Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful execution and completion of new construction and retrofit projects for our customers. This is a multi-talented role, interacting not only with field resources and subcontractors, but state entities and customer-stakeholders. The successful candidate will need a strong understanding of the importance of foresight, communication, managing resources and timelines, budgetary tracking, but most importantly building customer relationships.
WHO WE ARE
Our focus is on equipping, building, repairing, and maintaining retail facilities for operators of convenience stores and related types of business. Our core expertise is with fuel systems however we are expanding our offerings to provide a broad range of equipment, installation, repairs, and maintenance of the mechanical systems in these facilities. Our market is roughly the eastern half of Texas. We have delivered double-digit annual revenue growth for over fifteen years and expect that to continue going forward. We are privately held.

A PREVIEW OF YOUR DAY TO DAY
- Define and manage project scopes, timelines, assign resources, and budget tracking
- Review drawings for documentation completeness
- Prepare and organize project documents such as submittals, RFI’s, product specifications, and checklists
- Verify and execute permitting with various municipalities
- Manage internal and external stakeholder communication by setting up kickoff meetings and regularly providing job site updates
- Prepare and manage task completion, milestones and deliverables throughout each project
- Direct multiple subcontractors, equipment suppliers, and vendors across various trades
- Adjust schedules and targets as needs or financing for the project change
- Communicate and discuss scope changes with customer representative
- Generate project punchlist and closeout documentation and coordinate with field personnel and customer
- Evaluate project performance for continued development and improvements
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Constantly learning as industry trends emerge
- Ability to clearly understand engineered drawing sets and construction specifications and identify project-impacting issues within
- A track record of successful project management or construction management
- Knowledge of core construction, scheduling, and project execution methodologies
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; identify and resolve issues in a timely manner while responding promptly to customer needs
- Critical thinker and problem solver, able to interpret data
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel to job sites throughout Texas
- Ability to successfully manage and complete a high volume of work with sometimes conflicting timelines and goals; adapt to changes and shift priorities to meet project and customer objectives

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or Engineering preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience managing projects
- Successful experience as a project manager in the construction industry
- Experience in Petroleum Equipment Industry or Electric Vehicle Charging Industries a plus
- Proficient in Excel, scheduling software, and project management softwar
- Must pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment
