Telecommunications Engineering Technician assists telecommunication engineers in the design and analysis of telecommunication networks. Creates plans and drawings detailing the layout of routers, circuits, cables, switches, or other telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Engineering Technician ensures network connectivity for end-users. May evaluate existing networks and recommend design changes to improve performance. Additionally, Telecommunications Engineering Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Telecommunications Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Summary
With moderate amount of supervision, perform field and laboratory testing of construction materials including soils, concrete, bituminous, masonry, and reinforcing steel.
Perform a variety of tests per AET QA Procedures, maintaining a high level of quality and safety. The services provided within the Division are performed to the standards of industry including ASTM, ASIC, and ACI as well as state laws governing professional services.
All services will be performed in accordance with AET's QA / QC procedures.

Supervisory Responsibility
This role does not have direct reports, however, may provide work direction to junior technicians.

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This position also may require field work in outdoor conditions on construction sites with uneven ground and adverse weather conditions.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
