Telecommunications Engineering Technician assists telecommunication engineers in the design and analysis of telecommunication networks. Creates plans and drawings detailing the layout of routers, circuits, cables, switches, or other telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Engineering Technician ensures network connectivity for end-users. May evaluate existing networks and recommend design changes to improve performance. Additionally, Telecommunications Engineering Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Telecommunications Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. HLE, Inc., a civil engineering and land surveying firm with offices in Blackfoot and Idaho Falls, Idaho. We are currently looking for an engineering technician/materials inspector who will be involved with field observation, inspecting and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete and asphalt placement.
Daily communication is required with site contractors, other technicians and project managers. This technician should have the knowledge and ability to perform observations, inspections and tests of construction projects and to document findings in accordance with accepted engineering practice.
Following inspections, the individual will be expected to turn in daily, weekly and monthly reports to verify the data collected in the field.
– 2 Years of Experience (Recent)
– Field/Lab Experience
– Residential, Commercial or Industrial Experience
– Certifications (ACI ICC Certification Preferred)
– Soils and Concrete Experience Needed
– Self Motivated
– Ability to work with little to no supervision
– Ability to drive company vehicle
– Strong Written Verbal Communication Skills
– Intermediate Level Computer Skills

– Nuke Gauge
– NC DOT
