Textbook Manager manages the textbook department of the campus bookstore. Purchases the necessary texts for university courses, makes pricing decisions, and keeps track of inventory and sales. Being a Textbook Manager develops textbook buy back programs and return policies. Supervises the preparation and return of overstock and defective books. Additionally, Textbook Manager may lead and direct the work of others. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a bookstore manager. The Textbook Manager supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Textbook Manager typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. - Lead in a manner consistent with JJ’s Grill values that provides an upbeat and supportive atmosphere for our team.
- Help address difficult circumstances and minimize stress in a busy environment.
- Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events.
- Properly staff the Front of House to support JJ’s Grill business needs.
- Welcome new hires and ensure they receive timely and sufficient training that sets them up for success.
- Conduct reviews and coaching sessions with team members according to developmental needs.
- Know and Ensure Arkansas food safety standards are met by all team members.
- Knowledge and experience in business, supervision, and management.
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills.
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic economics, budgeting, and accounting principles and practices.
- Available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
