Tool Crib Attendant inventories, stores, and distributes hand tools and other equipment. Maintains tool functionality, calibration specifications, and safe condition by performing frequent inspections of tools and equipment for wear, defects, or damage. Being a Tool Crib Attendant keeps an inventory of tools by tracking the distribution of tools and users in a database or other system. Orders new tools and equipment or repairs tools as needed. Additionally, Tool Crib Attendant has training and experience in an industrial environment with familiarity of heavy machinery and tools. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Tool Crib Attendant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Tool Crib Attendant works with materials, maintenance and manufacturing departments to ensure the tool crib has the appropriate items and an accurate level of inventory.
Effectively manage tool crib by providing direct handling, storage, and issuance of materials to manufacturing and maintenance.
Receive, unpack and store incoming inventory
Identify and label any new material coming into the crib from suppliers
Inspect orders for accuracy
Complete inventory checks of tool crib
Write requisitions for repair or replacement of inventory
Data entry into Maximo and Excel
Maintain and clean and safe work area
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Personal Computer Skills- Excel experience is a must
Detail oriented with organizational skills
Ability to work independently
Prefer previous lift truck experience
Good written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours per day with frequent walking, bending, twisting and reaching
Physically able to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and lift/ move up to 50 lbs occasionally
Reliability and good attendance is a must
