Tool Crib Attendant inventories, stores, and distributes hand tools and other equipment. Maintains tool functionality, calibration specifications, and safe condition by performing frequent inspections of tools and equipment for wear, defects, or damage. Being a Tool Crib Attendant keeps an inventory of tools by tracking the distribution of tools and users in a database or other system. Orders new tools and equipment or repairs tools as needed. Additionally, Tool Crib Attendant has training and experience in an industrial environment with familiarity of heavy machinery and tools. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Tool Crib Attendant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. - Set up tooling and build to list.
- Report inventory to manager.
- Pass out items that are kept in the tool crib.
- Responsible for the organization of the tool crib, along with the current inventory and delivery of tools.
Minimum Requirements- High School Diploma or GED, understand all forms of cutting tools and usage.
- One (1) year of experience in related position in machining or fabricating industry.
- Experience in setting up mill tooling preferred.
- Well organized, industrious, hardworking, and team player.
- Ability to create a tool list and manage inventory.
- Excellent time management skills.
