    We are currently looking for a Full Time President, Foundation to join our Foundation President team located at the David Stout Building working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.

    Summary:


    The President will lead all partnership engagement, operational, fundraising and programmatic facets of the Chickasaw Foundation. The President is responsible for advancing and promoting the reputation and position of the Chickasaw Foundation, working in partnership with the Board of Trustees, and is responsible for developing and managing the Chickasaw Foundation’s budget and supervising its staff to promote the mission of the Chickasaw Foundation.

    Responsibilities:
    • Oversee all strategic direction including implementation of the Chickasaw Foundation strategic plan in accordance with the policies of the organization and the Board of Trustees
    • Advise the Board of Trustees about the advancement of the strategic plan along with updates on its successful milestones or challenges
    • Lead the staff according to the strategic direction set by the Board of Trustees to ensure the goals and objectives in the strategic plan are accomplished
    • Oversees the management of the Chickasaw Foundation’s programs, finances, operations, fundraising and partnership engagement to ensure ongoing planning and implementation of strategic goals and priorities
    • Manage the implementation of strategies set forth by the Board of Trustees for governance of the organization (including preparation for board meetings, committee meetings, etc.) provide oversight on the provision of necessary reports to the board to ensure the board effectively governs the organization and provides adequate fiduciary oversight
    • Provide oversight for the Chickasaw Foundations programs and regularly evaluate and solicit participant feedback to ensure efficient services are being provided
    • Provide on-site management for meetings and events
    • Annually prepare and submit the Oklahoma Charitable Organization Registration renewal forms in a timely manner
    • Ensure legal and ethical compliance for the Chickasaw Foundation
    • Provide leadership for fundraising initiatives and collaborate with the Board of Trustees and the Chickasaw Foundation staff for the cultivation and solicitation of major gifts and other fundraising priorities
    • Ensure the attainment of organizational objectives through the development, motivation, and evaluation (annual performance appraisals, feedback, and coaching) to staff members
    • Recommend merit (salary) increases for staff members and prepare their delegations of authority
    • Approve, coordinate, and monitor staff member’s request for leave, time for payroll as well as any leave benefit documents as requested by the benefits department
    • Work in conjunction with staff members on required or beneficial training for their Individual Development Plans (IDP) and career paths
    • Work with the Chairman to ensure the Board of Trustees has the resources and training to accomplish its responsibilities
    • Meet regularly with board leadership to discuss projects, strategic initiatives, finances, programs, and other pertinent information
    • Plan agendas and develop background materials for the committee, bi-monthly and annual meetings of the Chickasaw Foundation Board of Trustees
    • Develop, provide executive oversight, and recommend revisions to the annual budgets
    • Ensure efficient and effective use of financial resources with policies and procedures
    • Review trial balances, cuff accounts, financial statements and purchasing card reports to monitor accuracy, resolve discrepancies, approve journal entry request, etc. on a monthly basis
    • Work with the Chickasaw Nation Department of Treasury, Board treasurer and investment advisors to ensure regular financial reports are submitted to the Board of Trustees
    • Work with external auditor to supply requested information
    • Assist in the effort to promote social and economic development in the Chickasaw Nation
    • Research and assist with the preparation of grant proposals as needed, monitor grant funding and related expenditures to ensure efficient and effective use of those financial resources as well as ensure the implementation of performance goals through the gathering of monthly reports and other reports as required by the grant making institutions
    • Work collaboratively with other community organizations, foundations, national, federal, and state agencies, corporations, and key constituent groups
    • Represent the Chickasaw Foundation at internal and external events
    • Serve as the official spokesperson for the Chickasaw Foundation
    • In cooperation with the Board of Trustees and committees, develop, manage, follow, and update policies and procedures pertaining to the operational needs of the Chickasaw Foundation, including providing reports as necessary to the Board of Trustees and various committees
    • Recruit and retain volunteers, donors, and other partners as necessary
    • Engage in professional development activities such as training, conferences, research, and coaching
    • General administrative functions such as expense reporting, consultation with other team members, attendance at scheduled meetings, and acting as a liaison at all board committee meetings
    • Edits all written and published material including articles for the Chickasaw Times, the Holisso, the Internal Community, grant proposal and letters of intent, and the Chickasaw Foundation website, brochure, presentation packets, newsletters, cards, letters, reports and surveys
    • Works with the Chickasaw Nation’s Legal Division to ensure policies, procedures, contracts, or other important items of concern and interest have been reviewed and complies with applicable laws
    • Serves as a liaison with the building management on lease renewals
