The position is responsible for the success of all sales including Outings, Groups, Digital Discounts, Private Events & Buy-Outs, Weddings, and Room Rentals for Angel Lagoon Dayton, Blue Lagoon Bar & Grill and Lagoon Fest Texas. through prospecting, cold calling, lead generation, etc. Focus will be on maximizing revenue and profitability for the resort property.
A “can-do” team-based approach will be needed to be able to create, nurture and successfully close a pipeline of leads and opportunities while continuously prospecting for new accounts. Account Executives must ensure that excellent relationships are developed and maintained with both prospects as well as existing accounts, with the primary goal of building and increasing group business.
Additionally, this position is responsible for developing and maintaining accounts from within an assigned market segment to meet revenue and attendance goals. This position offers the opportunity for professional development and a chance to grow with a progressive management company for the right person. Sales Account Executives will proactively call potential and previous accounts to discuss Resort sales opportunities while providing direct sales support for several hundred customers via face-to-face, telephone and electronic communications. Prospecting will be a significant focus of this position.
This position will be based on property to allow for daily interaction with Resort Management Team and Ownership as well as site visits and prospect interaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's degree in business or marketing and/or equivalent direct sales experience.
· Minimum 3 years outside sales experience, preferably within the theme & water park, attractions, entertainment, sports, or hospitality industries.
· Solid sales and business analysis skills. Motivated, self-starter. Good project management skills. Independent worker
· Strong written and oral communication skills for both internal and external audiences with attention to detail and follow up, along with exceptional proofreading, grammar, and copywriting skills.
· Computer literacy and ability to use required business-related software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. CRM experience is a bonus.
· Demonstrated ability in business and personal organization and discipline skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and accounts in multiple locations and do so within established expense parameters and meet all project deadlines.
· Strong commitment to maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of park, division, and department information as requested by the company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Management of key accounts within target segment by identifying and capturing those that offer revenue & attendance growth, while continually prospecting new opportunities.
· Cultivate and develop strong customer relations through individual creativity and innovation, utilizing sales techniques such as face-to-face, phone, and electronic cold calling communications and the use of professional, courteous, and ethical interpersonal interaction. Service clients by being available and knowledgeable to answer questions, assisting in advertising their programs, and being onsite on the day of their event.
· Effective time / segment management by focusing on revenue-producing activity and maximizes selling time by dedicating a minimum 90% work time on direct sales efforts with a goal of a minimum of 50 qualified sales calls per week, effectively presenting ideas to target audiences with a strong verbal and presentation presence.
· Identify and solicit new business in assigned segments, including developing and building business from Social, Military, Educational, Religious, and Fraternal market segments as directed by the General Manager and Sales Manager.
· Provide prompt follow-up on all customer needs, sales leads, and inquiries with appropriate action in a timely manner, generating correspondence, proposals, and contracts. Maintain regular contact with in-house groups before, during and after group events. in an efficient and expedient manner. Participate in sales associations and groups related to assigned market segments, including appropriate civic organizations, events, and trade shows.
· Analyze and understand industry trends, with a focus on sales transient and group business, including booking trends, reports, historical patterns, and literature. Recognize lead sources and utilize this information in your daily sales efforts.
· Ability to provide progress reports on a weekly basis regarding account status, sales attendance, and revenue forecasts as well as analysis of individual market segments by sales programs. Implement sales action plans and adhere to them in the sales solicitation efforts. Complete action plans to support goal completion.
· Document all sales calls and other sales activities in weekly call reports in accordance with company procedures to include Weekly Call Planner, Weekly Call Report and Monthly Sales Recap. Reports are due by end of day each Friday and submitted to the Sales Manager. These reports should include sales bookings for the previous week as well as short and long-term action plans to meet budgeted goals.
· Analyze competitors regularly (rates, services, facilities) while maintaining a current working knowledge of the competition sales efforts against your individual market segment, making regular reports of your findings to the GM and the Sales Manager.
· Attending weekly sales meeting to advise other sales team members of sales efforts, upcoming group visits, sharing sales successes as well as sales rejections to allow the sales team to learn and grow from both.
· Assist with daily Resort operations and any other duties or responsibilities, as assigned by the GM and or Sales Manager or at the direct request of senior leadership or MOD.
